Landmatters is a low impact off grid Permaculture community. We are caretakers of 42 acres of land, 7 miles from Totnes in South Devon.
Our activities include grassland and woodland management, building and maintenance of low impact structures, care of goat herd, 12v power, grey water n composting systems, production of useful and edible plants, rain water harvesting, rural skills and creating land based livelihoods.
Food will be vegetarian and prepared by our group on a rota system in the communal building.
Accommodation will be camping, so please bring your tent, a torch and warm clothes. Some of the work will be messy – please bring suitable clothes and wellies.
Landmatters have limited facilities (compost toilets and bucket showers) Please bring “eco” products only onto site.
We actively support the use of public transport and shared cars so please consider how you can travel to us in this way. There is a bus from Totnes to within 25mins walk of our community. If driving please offer lift shares if possible for the other people coming. Please also note we have limited available space on site for private vehicles – therefore it is important to let us know in advance if you are considering driving here.
